Restaurant campaign

In the run-up to World Kidney Day, the Foundation (Nierstichting) launched a restaurant campaign to raise awareness of the amount of salt that can be found in our daily food consumption. Research shows that 85% of the Dutch people eat too much salt, approximately 1 kilogram per year. The restaurants involved in the campaign offered low salt dishes on their menu so that guests could experience that salt free dishes can in fact be quite tasty.

Our activities
The Kidney Foundation asked De PR Boutique to generate media attention for the campaign. Our agency created content for food, lifestyle and health media such as articles about lowering your salt intake, salt-free recipes, tastings for the press and readers promotions. This resulted in 40 publications in national dailies and magazines and in coverage on national television.
